How can I order a custom/commissioned drawing?
Reach out to me via email at noellexrichard@gmail.com! I offer free consultation via email to discuss your project and what you have in mind. If you have reference photos, I’d love to see them. Please note that by ordering custom work, you are offering me artistic liberty to interpret your preferences in accordance with my creative judgment and style.

How much are commissions?
I have a $75 minimum + shipping (if applicable) for all commissions. This includes my time and labor making the drawing as well as consulting/communicating. For all custom projects, full payment and any taxes and/or shipping costs will be due upfront once the project is discussed and you decide to go forth. All payments are non-refundable. If the project is over $200 in cost, customers have the option to pay a non-refundable 50% deposit upfront, and may pay the remaining 50% when the order is complete, prior to me shipping the work. 

If you choose this option, please note that I will not ship your project until I receive both payments. If 4 weeks pass from when I notify you that the project is complete without receiving payment, Noelle Richard retains the right to cancel your order and discard and/or make the project publicly available for purchase.

How long does a commission take?
Processing time for custom projects is anywhere from 6-16 weeks from time of payment received until shipment, unless otherwise stated, and is subject to change depending on time of year and nature of project. If you are hoping to have your project completed by a specific date, this must be communicated upfront. If I am able to accommodate your request, an additional fee may apply.

Can you draw my album art/book cover/[something exclusive to me]?
Yes! I am very interested in these projects. If you are interested in having me create imagery exclusively for your project, the exact terms can be negotiated in a separate contract provided by me. Any negotiated exclusivity by a client will be reflected in the price. In these cases, Noelle will retain at minimum the right to use the imagery for their portfolio and/or exhibition. Unless we have a written agreement of exclusivity, I retain all rights to all imagery and concepts I produce in perpetuity. Clients/customers may not in any circumstances use my work for anything other than personal display or wear unless we have a written agreement negotiating otherwise.


Works on Paper

How should I display my drawing/print?
I recommend displaying works on paper out of direct sunlight, behind UV glass or acrylic, in acid-free, archival frames for best print life.
All ink and paper age over time, and may fade or yellow. Exposure to UV light, fluctuating temperatures, non-archival materials, humidity, and moisture affects all works on paper. I use acid-free paper for all my prints and drawings to extend the life and quality of the piece. However, I cannot guarantee that works on paper will not age over time.


Apparel

Can you print [insert design here] in my size/preferred color/on a garment I provide?
While I don’t print-to-order at this time, you can get each new design on a garment in your size/color preference if you subscribe to my Patreon! 

Will you ever reprint [insert design here]?
Probably not, although I have occasionally reprinted a design if it sold out quickly or I’ve received a lot of requests for it! I usually release around 30 pieces in each design. If you see something you like, I recommend getting it right away, as I will never make that exact item again!

I love [insert drawing/design here]! Can you put it on a t-shirt?
I do not do print-to-order designs at this time. If I get enough requests for a specific design, I will consider releasing it as a tee design. However I cannot guess or guarantee if/when any specific design will end up on a shirt. 

How should I care for my garments?
I highly recommend washing garments inside out on cold/delicate, and air-drying or drying on low. Once you wear and/or wash your garment, I cannot assume any responsibility for changes in the print quality.
All screen printed designs may become less vibrant, crack, or peel in places over time. I heat-set the ink of all apparel prints, however, due to the fact that I am not a commercial production facility, that I use environmentally friendly, water-based inks, and that my prints are incredibly detailed, the print surface can be fragile. I strive for quality and longevity in each of my items, and the creation and pricing of each piece reflects these values.

Where do you source your garments?
All the garments I print on are secondhand! I go to a variety of thrift stores and sales to find my pieces. As a result, you may see light wear on your item. I prioritize finding high-quality and like-new garments, however some wear on the garment is inevitable and to be expected with secondhand garments.


Can I return/exchange my purchase?
Returns, refunds, and exchanges are not accepted at this time. All items are final sale. All items are made by hand and are accurately described and photographed to fully convey each item. I am one person, and due to the handmade nature of my items and limited resources, I cannot afford to offer free returns or refunds for your item. However, if you are unsatisfied with your purchase, please contact me so I can help. Thank you for understanding!

Where is my order?
All non-custom items are shipped or ready for local pickup within 3-5 business days from date of purchase. If for any reason there is a change in my processing time, I will notify you as soon as possible after placing your order.Once a package is received and accepted by USPS, unfortunately it is out of my control. All shipping updates can be found with your tracking number and is the same information that I have. All printed items and drawings are one of a kind. In the case of a lost package, unfortunately they cannot be recreated. 

Will my order be here by [special date]?
If you hope to receive your order by a specific date, I recommend placing your order as early as possible. Once I receive the order, it will go through my standard processing times. I cannot make special accommodations or offer rush shipping at this time.
